It was dark out. Nyx liked the dark. Nobody could see her, but she could see everybody else quite easily. As it happened, there weren't that many people on the beach. Sagio was notable for its beaches alone, but most people didn't take the time to enjoy them. Nyx was an exception to this rule. A very large exception. This was, with the possible exception of the hunting grounds in the Hamast Forest, her favourite place in all of Andvari. The waves were soothing, and the lack of people...Well, she never liked people anyways.
Her tail twitched back and forth, the only part of her that was moving. Her eyes stared at a fixed spot on the horizon, lost in her own thoughts. She rarely stopped to think, as she found it rather bothersome. But tonight was a rare exception to this rule, one that she wasn't sure if she enjoyed or not. Certainly, it let her work through some of the more troubling thoughts in her head, although mostly, it just got more tangled and confused. Nyx was messing up, thinking like Alyx. It was rather hard to tell who's thoughts were who's nowadays.
A short sigh escaped her, without thinking, and she raised a claw to drag it through her wind-tossed hair. Thank God it wasn't long, or the combination of the salty, humid air would've killed it by now. As much as Nyx didn't care about her looks...she would rather not have to deal with trying to make salty, humid hair look good. She had better things to do.
Suddenly, and almost without warning, she plopped to the ground. The sand felt good beneath her feet, and her legs were tired of standing. So she sat. The water was almost close enough to feel, and the sand was wet beneath her, but that didn't matter anyways. It was peaceful, and she was going to enjoy it.
