Overall Look: Her black hair's extremely curly, and often messy. This is the main reason why it's almost always in a ponytail. Her skin a smooth light brown, that contrasts with her muddy brown eyes. Her lips are full, glossed and usually frowning slightly out of frustration over something. She's slightly short and stocky, but not so much that she doesn't look like a girl. When she tries, she can be quite a beauty, but usually she unintentionally hides it.

Her general style is very bold and colorful. She's one of those girls who will have sequin fireworks on her jeans one day and hot pink spikes on her bracelet the next. She's very versatile with her wardrobe, although mainly due to the color, she's been labled a punk. When she's going to be dancing or doing karate, she'll stick to a simple tee shirt, hoodie and track pants. On special occasions, she usually makes quite a statement that nearly makes her unrecognizable.

Family: Her parents Josefina Marquez-Eligio and William Eligio. Astrid is the second oldest child of five kids; her siblings are Quinn (19 year old brother who currently attends NYU, but visits often), Victor (15 year old brother), Charlie (Victor's twin brother) and Carla (11 year old sister)
Origin: Marble Falls, Texas
Personality: Astrid's not afraid to go up to people she's never met before, so she can start figuring out whether or not she likes them as people. She's very outgoing, but it tends to take a long time for her to start thinking of you as a friend. It's a long road, but once you get her as a friend, she's going to be there to listen (and put her two cents in) when you're having a bad day. If your significant other cheats on you, she'll attempt to convince you that you're better than them and to just forget about them. That's her downfall when it comes to friendship; she doesn't acknowledge the time it takes to heal from a bad relationship (despite her experience in that field) and she's a hypocrite in those cases, because she hasn't gotten over her own relationship's downfall.

If you get Astrid mad at you, be prepared to have a grudge held against you for a long time to come. Her loyalty comes at a high price, so it's a stupid idea to break her trust, because that makes the price sky rocket. However, if you're persuasive enough, she'll be willing to open her ears and listen to what you have to say. You might even be able to convince you that you deserve a second chance with enough work.

Astrid's a very passionate person and puts her heart and soul in everything she does, whether it's partying, schoolwork or a relationship. When she loves, it runs deep, but she doesn't always want to admit it. It could take quite some time for her to admit it at all. The only emotion that she's willing to show openly is anger, and that only happens when things get really heated.

Most of the time, Astrid's a pretty balanced person; she doesn't let her schoolwork overwhelm her, but at the same time, doesn't neglect it to have fun. The same, however, doesn't go for her emotions. She's very dramatic and fiery. However, she doesn't wear her heart on her sleeve, although most people think she does. Deep down, she's secretive and isn't willing to admit it when she's heartbroken and just hides behind kicking and screaming.

History: Astrid was the second oldest child and the second daughter of the Eligio family in Marble Falls. She tended to help her parents out with certain errands. After all, five kids was quite a lot to deal with. Particularly when they were rowdy little boys. She didn't really do too much babysitting, simply because she didn't have the patience for it. If she was forced to deal with Victor and Charlie alone, she'd stick them in front of the TV or take them to a park and then sit off to the side to study or read. She definitely enjoyed it, but not to the point of not doing anything else.

Since she was about ten years old, she had taken self defense and dance classes. Her parents wanted her to be as fast and flexible as was humanly possible and she truly appreciated it. The last thing she wanted to be was weak against any opponent. She still sort of thought boys were yucky at the time, while most girls were starting to notice how they weren't so bad. To the giggling teeny boppers, she'd roll her eyes.

She had always been a very good student and always seemed to always raise her own bar. She always wanted to be challenged. Hence part of the reason why she was accepted into Riverside High. Besides her academic career, it was a turning point in her social and romantic life. It was there where she found a guy who started to change her mind about boys. She met Devon Joachim at a social gathering of new students and they hit it off right away. As the relationship got older, however, things got slightly heated. Devon was starting to get really hurtful and eventually the relationship fell apart. She's still hurt over it, despite her objections.

RP Sample Astrid sighed out of satisfaction as she walked out of class. Something about preparing to be able to fight back at any jerk gave her a rush. She felt absolutely invincible at the moment. If she ever thought that someone could hurt her, she was wrong. She was too strong for that. What did she have to worry about.

She walked into the nearby cafe to reward herself with some coffee. She started searching through her bag for her wallet. She smiled lightly when she found it, but it faded when she noticed someone out of the corner of her eye. Devon...well, don't stand like there like some idiot! He sure as hell isn't worth it. She sent him a glare before turning around. Jerk.
